This year’s camp program for those aged 18-35 years will
be the most activity filled program at this year’s camp!
In contrast to previous camps, there will be two parallel
programs catering for all interest groups. One program
will include sports oriented activities, such as a hike,
surfing lessons, and abseiling, whilst the other program
will include activities for those interested in the culture
and traditions of Ukraine, for example, Ukrainian
embroidery, Ukrainian cooking, learning about the
differences in culture and traditions of various regions of
Ukraine, and also a winery, cheese and chocolate factory
tour. Within each of these programs and planned activities,
you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with
long-time friends and meet fellow Ukrainian youth from
within Australia and overseas. Should you have any
questions about the organised program, please do not
hesitate Stepan Duma at stephen@duma.com.au.

35+ and parents – “Odne Selo”

Odne Selo pdf

The Campsite

“Sokil” is the campsite of Plast Victoria, nestled in the
Great Otway National Park, between Aireys Inlet on the
coast and Winchelsea inland.  It is a one hour and forty
five minute journey from Melbourne, give or take a
McDonalds stop or two.

It’s easy to get to Sokil. Once you are on the Westgate
Freeway, there are only two left hand turns for the
entire trip.  (The trick is taking the right ones: If you
hit Adelaide, you’ve gone too far.)  We will publish
detailed maps and directions and the route will be
signposted by Tabir.

Accommodation

  • 3-6 y.o. will be staying with their parents in tents.
  • 6-12 y.o. the majority will be accommodated in
Kolyby (barracks) with the oldest kids staying in
    large tents, which are supplied.
  • 12-17 y.o. will be staying in large tents for 5-8 kids.
There is a 3 day hike, however, during which they
will be staying in their own two-man hiking tents.
See the Equipment list for the SUU tabir for further
    information.
  • 18-35 y.o. will stay in their own tents out the back
    of the Tativka area.
  • Parents and over 35s will also stay in their own
    tents in the “Tativka” area.

"Tabir Program"

This year's camp program for those aged 18-35 years will be
split into 2 interest groups: 1) outdoor/sports program, and 2)
cultural program. By now, you should have received general camp
information – this can be found at
www.ozeukes.com/tabirmolodi. Below we provide a table outlining
the key activities of each program so that you can
better acquaint yourselves with what to expect. We will be
asking all participants to inform us of their decision regarding which
program they would like to participate in. Unfortunately, due to limited
availability, this will be done on a first in-first
serve basis, with the outdoor/sports program restricted to a maximum 30
participants. To guarantee a spot in your program of choice, contact
Stepan Duma ( stephen@duma.com.au or 0408 178 586) ASAP.
Your spot will only be guaranteed if payment and registration forms
have been received by the organising committee. If there
are availabilities for some of the sports/outdoor activities,
there will be an opportunity for those in the cultural to
fill them.
