Managing the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO)

The Board of the AFUO is responsible for the management of the AFUO as outlined in its Constitution.

The Conference of Members elects the Board as outlined in the Constitution.

 

LEGAL STATUS

The AFUO is registered with the following:

  • Consumer Affairs Victoria (The annual prescribed lodgements can be found on its website https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/ (CAV)
  • Australian Securities and Investments Commission https://asic.gov.au/ (ASIC)
  • Australian Charities and Non for Profit Commission https://www.acnc.gov.au/ (ACNC)

The AFUO manages Future Ukraine Limited, an Australian Public Company, Limited By Guarantee. Future Ukraine Limited is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).

 

REPORTS

The Board reports to Members annually at an Annual General Meeting (AGM).

An Internal Audit Committee is elected by the Conference and provides Members with a report at the AGM.

An External auditor audits the accounts and provides Members with a report at the AGM.

The current Board has undertaken training to understand its responsibilities better.
