International Coordination of Medical Aid for Ukraine (ICMAU), a subcommittee of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), helps source and send critical medical supplies to Ukraine.
A medical supplies list, jointly devised by ICMAU and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, identifies key, life-saving medical supplies required in Ukraine. In addition to medical aid, ICMAU also accepts emergency response supplies and equipment.
Donated items are then sent round-the-clock to hospitals and the front line in Ukraine in a flexible, robust and continuous supply chain. The multinational team, brought together by ICMAU Chair, Dr Liz (Lesia) Paslawsky, includes freight forwarders, customs organisations, Rotary, warehouses, Qantas, the Australian Defence Force, the Royal Australian Air Force, and civilian groups from the UK, Poland and Ukraine.
To date, ICMAU has sourced around $23 million of medical aid and equipment to support the sick and injured in Ukraine.
